🌱 Trying to Grow My Blog Without Social Media – Is It Possible?

by

Miftah

I started my blog quietly.

No big announcement.

No flashy Instagram post.

I’ve always loved the idea of writing online. Not for the likes, not for the numbers but for the joy of reflecting, connecting, and building something in my own little corner of the internet.

So when I launched my blog, I asked myself:

“Can I grow this (slowly and meaningfully) without being on every social media platform?”

I chose to focus on just one platform: LinkedIn.

My Goal Is Not Viral. It’s Valuable. I’m not a big fan of chasing trends or being online 24/7 just to be “seen.”

💡Why I Chose Less

Social media can be powerful, I know that. But I also know how draining it can be.

I didn’t want to write just for reach.

I wanted to write for real people, with real thoughts, and real feelings — even if that meant a smaller audience.

💡Why I Chose This Path

Because I want my blog to feel like mine.

Not controlled by an algorithm. Not made for engagement bait.

Just honest writing, shared with people who care about the same things:

growth, career, faith, mindset, remote life, and showing up even when it’s hard.

Is It Working?

Not in a viral way.

But in a slow, steady, and meaningful way — big yes.

💡What I’m Learning Along the Way :

It’s okay to grow slow.

It’s okay to write without a strategy.

You don’t have to be everywhere, just somewhere with intention.

I don’t need to be “perfect” — just present and consistent

If you’re someone who wants to build online but doesn’t want to lose yourself in the noise. I hope this gives you a little permission to do it differently.

Even if it’s slow.

Even if you only use one platform.

Even if you’re just starting out.

What matters is : you’re building something real.

Thanks for reading.
